& They call it PUPPY Love!

As if driving 150 miles for 6 hrs a day 5 days a week wasn't enough to make me want Summer Vacation to start so I could have a rest, we had to end the year with an extra ton of activities! Victor took part in his schools talent show which required us to drive in to the city on Saturdays for 5 months. So I have really been looking forward to the end but can anything ever be that simple? Nope! On top of the extra day there were Field Trips, field day, District Science Fair, Spring concerts, half days, Author meet and greet, District Teacher of the Year Choir Performance and a Funeral on top of our regular Scouts and Gymnastics to get one worn out mom. Cover with frayed nerves from house hunting and end Rowan's extended days hours just as Victor needs to stay everyday till 5:30 and you can imagine how ready for down time I am. So how do we begin summer? By getting a new member of the family!! We have become the family for a wonderful puppy we have decided to call Zoey! She is a Boxer/German Shepard mix. She is from Tennessee originally but a wonderful rescue had sent her up here to find a home.

So much for Peace and Quite around here. As you can guess the kids are over the moon with their new sister. She loves them both but is very attached to Victor. The most commonly uttered phase in our home is currently "Rowan leave that dog alone!!"

We truly believe that she was meant for us. The kids have been a great help with taking care of her, especially Victor. We love her and she seems to be pretty happy with us too.
